You want to find out how to edit comments on Instagram\u2026 and unfortunately, there\u2019s <\/span>no option<\/b> for that!<\/span><\/p>\n

Facebook and YouTube allow you to you edit comments. Even Instagram DMs have the option to edit messages\u2026 Why not Instagram comments? Ugh!<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, don\u2019t worry because we\u2019ve found just the way to counter the issue here!<\/span><\/p>\n

How to Edit Comments on Instagram on Phone?\ud83d\udcf1<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Unfortunately, Instagram still does not have the feature to edit your comments. So, if you want to fix a comment, you can instead <\/span>delete and repost<\/b> it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Launch the Instagram app, <\/span>log in <\/b>to your account, and follow these steps \u2013 applicable both on iOS and Android devices.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> You can delete and repost replies in the same process. The only difference is that you repost it by hitting on the \u201cReply\u201d option.<\/div><\/div>\n

Case I:<\/span> The comment is on your own post<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Step #1:<\/strong> Go to your <\/span>profile <\/b>and find the post.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step #2:<\/strong> Tap on the <\/span>comment icon <\/b>to find your comment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> The comment icon looks like a speech bubble-shaped icon. It is below photo posts and on the right of reel posts.<\/div><\/div>

Step #3:<\/strong> The <\/span>delete option <\/b>pops up. <\/span>Select that <\/b>and your comment instantly gets deleted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> On the app, the delete option appears as \u201cDelete\u201d with a trashcan icon.<\/div><\/div>

Step #4:<\/strong> Go to the \u201c<\/span>Add a comment\u2026<\/b>\u201d section.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step #5:<\/strong> Type the <\/span>corrected comment <\/b>and hit the <\/span>send icon<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Case II:<\/span> The comment is on an acquaintance\u2019s or your favorite creator\u2019s post, i.e., you remember their Instagram profile name or handle.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Step #1:<\/strong> On the Instagram app\u2019s home page, tap the \u201c<\/span>Search<\/b>\u201d<\/span> (magnifying glass) icon on the bottom.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step #2:<\/strong> Fill in the <\/span>user\u2019s profile name\/handle<\/b>. Go to their profile and find the post.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step #3: <\/strong>Tap <\/b>on your comment. It shows the \u201c<\/span>Delete<\/b>\u201d option.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step #4: <\/strong>Select <\/b>it and the comment gets deleted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step #5:<\/strong> Now <\/span>retype <\/b>your comment on the \u201c<\/span>Add a comment\u2026<\/b>\u201d space at the bottom and <\/span>post <\/b>it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Case III:<\/span> The comment is on a stranger\u2019s post (you don\u2019t remember their Instagram name\/handle), and you liked it.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Step #1:<\/strong> Go to your <\/span>profile <\/b>and tap the horizontal-three-bar\/<\/span>hamburger icon <\/b>on the top right.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step #2:<\/strong> Select \u201c<\/span>Your activity<\/b>\u201d under \u201c<\/span>How you use Instagram<\/span><\/i>\u201d column.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step #3:<\/strong> Tap on \u201c<\/span>Likes<\/b>\u201d under \u201c<\/span>Interactions<\/span><\/i>.\u201d All of your liked posts on Instagram appear.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step #4:<\/strong> If it\u2019s a <\/span>recently liked video<\/b>, you can search for it manually, as it\u2019ll be near the <\/span>top<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
