In this article, we’re going to teach you how to add multiple photos to your Instagram Story. That way, you’ll never have to choose one image over another again! You can instead include them all (or at least, most of them).

There are three ways that you can include multiple photos in one Instagram Story. Neither one of them is difficult, especially if you follow our step-by-step tutorials below! With our help, you should be able to integrate them in your Instagram content creation strategy without a hitch.

Let’s get started.

How To Add Multiple Photos To Instagram Story Using Layout?

If you want to add anywhere from two to six photos to your Instagram Story and organize them in a neat and aesthetically pleasing way, then this first method might work best for you. It involves using something called the Layout feature on Instagram, and we’re about to show you how it works.

Step #1: Open the Instagram app.

Step #2: Tap the large + sign at the bottom of the home screen.

Tap + Button

Step #3: Scroll over to Story

Step #4: Tap Layout on the left-hand side of the screen.

Tap Layout

Step #5: Tap the grid button underneath the Layout button and choose a grid layout from the options that appear on the screen.

Step #6: To fill the grid, either take a photo with your camera or add photos from your phone gallery by tapping the blue + button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.

Take a Photo

Step #7: After filling up the grid, hold down on photos to rearrange them where you want them to go.

Step #8: Add stickers, text, effects, and any other additions you want to make to your Story before publishing it.

How To Add Up To 10 Photos To Instagram Story and Display Them Individually?

Next, let’s talk about how to display up to 10 photos in your Story at a time and arrange them to be viewed individually. This is helpful if you want to give each image its own spotlight, but still include them all in the same Story – sort of like a presentation or an album!

Step #1: Open the Instagram app.

Step #2: Tap the large + sign at the bottom of the home screen.

Tap + Button

Step #3: Scroll over to Story.

How To Add Unlimited Photos To Instagram Story Using Create?

Finally, we want to talk about, how to add multiple photos to one Instagram story without layout: by using the Create feature.

Here’s how to access it in the Instagram app, as well as how to use it for showing off several photos at once to your Stories audience.

Step #1: Open the Instagram app.

Step #2: Tap the large + sign at the bottom of the home screen.

Tap + Button

Step #3: Scroll over to Story.

Step #4: Tap the Aa button on the left-hand side of the screen (this is the Create button).

Step #5: Tap the Stickers icon at the top of the screen (the one that looks like a sticky note with a smiley face on it).

Tap the Stickers

Step #6: Tap the sticker that looks like a round, gray circle with two white rectangles inside of it and a + inside one of the rectangles.

Tap the Sticker

Step #7: Choose one of the photos you want to display in your Story from your phone gallery.

Choose Photo

Step #8: Repeat steps 6-7 for all the photos you want to add to your Story.

Step #9: Make in and out pinching motions with your fingers on the screen to change the size and orientation of your photos, until they all fit on the background in an attractive way.

Step #10: Use more stickers, effects, text, and background colors to put the finishing touches on your Story before publishing it.

Use stickers

You’ll notice that we didn’t state a limit for how many photos you can add using this method. That’s because Instagram Stories doesn’t currently have a sticker limit.

Theoretically, then, this means that you can add an unlimited number of images to your Story!

From a practicality standpoint, however, just remember that the more photos you add, the more cluttered your Story will look, and the more trouble your followers will have understanding it or finding a focal point.
