Natalie runs a channel that has over 300k subscribers and defining her niche is really challenging. She talks about everything from her favorite books to dating, week in the life and other videos.
Her most popular video has 1.3 million views and is about how she uses an iPad as an engineering student.
With all of this in mind, she had 900+ videos and told Business Insider that:
- She had 20 videos with 100k+ views (it’s more now)
- 100k views average $500 – $1,000
She states that in the past, her videos with the same views made just $100. What did she do differently? She added more ads into her videos, which is something you need to experiment with because you don’t want to push your audience away.
2. Kelechi Mgbemena
Kelechi is from Nigeria and is a beauty influencer who has over 440 videos. She was kind enough to share exactly how much her videos make on YouTube. Kelechi shows that her videos have a $6 RPM when she talks about technology.
What’s really great about Kelechi is that she shows how much videos with different niches on her channel make.
While these are not 100,000 views even, they’re close enough for you to get a good idea of what you could earn on the platform:

Based on this information, you can estimate that he makes around $1,030 for 100k views.

He’s now focusing on cryptocurrency, which is a huge niche that is known to pay well. He provides insights into investments and predictions, and it’s doing very well for him. He has over 200 videos and over 200k subscribers who watch his channel.

Stef Dev is a very interesting addition to our list because he mentions that he’s from South Africa. Many creators forget that their location and viewer base will play a major role in their earnings.
Stef had been making videos since 2009, and it wasn’t until 2023 that a video of his finally crossed the 100k view threshold.

His niche? He revealed the Dark Truth on Forex in South Africa. Forex is a niche that you would think would have a higher RPM, but since he focused on South Africa, it’s safe to assume that a lot of viewers were from the area.
Advertisers aren’t spending much on Forex in his region – or we assume based on his earnings.
RPMs will dictate how much you earn from YouTube, and what we’re seeing is that RPMs can be $2 or $80 in some niches.
Music is a niche that pays $3 – $4 RPM, but in the organizing space, people earn $10 RPM. If your video goes viral in November – December, RPMs in some niches may also double at this time.
